On the morning of December 5th, Shenzhen BIWIN Storage Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “BIWIN”) came together with the School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University (hereinafter referred to as “School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, SWJTU”) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for University-Industry Collaboration and conduct a joint ceremony for establishing an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Laboratory and Internship Practice Base. School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, SWJTU and BIWIN Signed a Memorandum of Understanding for University-Industry Collaboration
During the signing ceremony, representatives from both sides, Li Hao, the Executive Vice Dean from School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, SWJTU and Han He, the CEO of BIWIN, signed the Memorandum of Understanding for University-Industry Collaboration and jointly celebrated the official unveiling of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Laboratory and Internship Practice Base. Moving forward, both sides, with a focus on the integrated circuit fields, will exert efforts on integrating the academic leadership advantages nurtured by School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering in SWJTU with BIWIN’s deep accumulation in product R&D and innovation to explore and promote pathways for extensive industry-academia-research integration and accelerate the transformation of future technological achievements into practical applications. This collaboration is also aimed at promoting the development of all aspects of the university-industry initiative, including curriculum development, joint construction of innovation and entrepreneurship laboratory and internship practice base, collaborative talent cultivation, establishment of the “BIWIN Scholarship”, doctoral employee industry-academia integration training, and promotion and application of technological achievement, with the goal of cultivating outstanding interdisciplinary talents with both “strong theoretical + strong practical” capabilities.
The Unveiling Ceremony of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Laboratory and Internship Practice Base
In the afternoon of the same day, the visiting delegation from School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, SWJTU had also taken a tour of the Greater Bay Advanced Technology Co., Ltd., the advanced packaging and testing manufacturing base of BIWIN, getting an inside look at the storage chip packaging and testing processes and gaining detailed insights into the latest progress of chip packaging and testing projects, process and technological advantages, and future development plans and objectives.
The signing of this memorandum is not only marked as a new starting point for collaboration between School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, SWJTU and BIWIN but also a crucial junction for organically connecting research chains, talent chains, industrial chains, and innovation chains. Both parties will work together and collaborate sincerely to accelerate industry-academia-research integration and innovation, enabling to take scientific and technological achievements out of the laboratories, onto the production lines, and transform them into productive forces, thus building a solid foundation for innovative development of integrated circuit industry.
